It may not be “festival season” yet, but the days are getting longer and the temperatures are getting warmer! That means Chicagoans are emerging from their apartments, condos, and houses and starting to spend more time out and about.
Major events and activities in and near the South Loop during March, April, and May include the Flower and Garden Show at Navy Pier, the One of a Kind Spring Show, Baconfest and MB Bike the Drive. Springtime also means St. Patrick’s Day, Easter, and Memorial Day celebrations, as well as the start of the run/walk event season (check out our lists of serious running events, Charity Walks and Fun Runs). There are also events and activities that are less well known but no less interesting or fun, like Neighborhoods of the World and the Manifest Urban Arts Festival.
This section of our website is updated regularly, so we encourage you to return to it for the latest information. And of course we invite you to let us know about anything we may have missed.
