The Chicago Park District hosts events and offers programs in many of the parks in and near the South Loop. Some, like SummerDance, Movies in the Park, and skating at the Maggie Daley Ice Ribbon, are relatively well known. But did you know you could take fitness classes, participate in a badminton league, learn about nature, and play bridge? If you have kids, they can learn archery, golf, hip-hop dancing and more!
We share as many options as we can via our seasonally-focused Things to Do pages, the South Loop Chronicles, Facebook, and Twitter, but we can’t possibly capture them all. We can, however, help you access the programs, events and activities at parks in and near the South Loop that offer them. The links below will take you to their respective Events/Calendar pages (note: on the Park District site you’ll have to click on the News & Events and Programs tabs for complete information). From there, of course, you can access other information for each park.
