A variety of community organizations focus on a range of issues that affect residents, businesses, and other entities in the South Loop. Many of them are non-profit and welcome donations, members and volunteers to enable them to achieve their objectives. We’re sure they’d love for you to join them and/or get involved!
In addition to their websites, these groups have email newsletters and social media presences (generally Facebook and Twitter) through which they share news and updates. Most host regular meetings in which they provide information about and seek input on developments, activities, and other concerns that could impact our neighborhood and its micro-communities. We share information about these meetings via Facebook and Twitter as soon as we’re aware of them.
You can learn more about these organizations by accessing their websites, which are linked below. If there’s another organization that focuses on or impacts the South Loop that you think it should be included on this page, please contact us.
Concerned about neighborhood safety? Although they aren’t officially community organizations, there are three neighborhood watch groups you can join and/or follow: a private South Loop Neighborhood Watch Facebook Group, a public South Loop Neighborhood Watch Facebook Page, and a private South Loop Neighborhood Watch Google Group.
