South Loop News is a feature through which we periodically recap some of the news articles we shared via Twitter and Facebook. These articles either specifically focus on the South Loop, have important implications for South Loopers’ quality of life and living, or include some other South Loop twist.
Here are some of the stories we found and shared during the month of May 2017.

The city is alive with the sound of music – all summer long! Major concerts at Soldier Field include U2, Mettalica, and Cold Play, as well as Blake Shelton and Kelly Clarkson performing at the opening ceremonies of the Warrior Games.
The Huntington Bank Pavilion at Northerly Island is presenting dozens of concerts from June 1st through September 22nd, including Dave Matthews, Elvis Costello, Third Eye Blind, Gorillaz, Phish, Goo Goo Dolls, Ms.
The South Loop offers residents and visitors over twenty parks and open spaces to enjoy and experience – and being right on Lake Michigan provides easy access to even more! To help people find and take advantage of these spaces, we have created a Parks and Open Spaces resource page, as well as a page that provides access to Park Programs in/near the South Loop.
